The 11th Champloo Music Podcast is made by a vinyl lover and advocate of the pure disco sound, Marcel Vogel aka. Em Vee from Amsterdam.

The bearded Lumberjack from rural Germany is chopping soulful tunes as a profession and releasing some of these on his Lumberjacks in Hell imprint. Then others you’ll only hear in his DJ sets. Many influences shinning through when Em Vee is behind the decks: the heat and energy of the Chicago Disco masters, the grittiness of the Detroit godfathers, the playfulness of Berlin’s freestyle jocks and the soulful tradition of New York Garage.
